Us Weekly confirmed on Wednesday, September 17, that Jimmy Kimmel’s eponymous show had been taken off the air following comments the host had made about conservative political activist Charlie Kirk’s death.

Kimmel, a comedian who grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and found fame with a juvenile, occasionally crass brand of humor, has had quite an evolution.
