The first day to vote early in Minnesota is Friday, Sept. 19, with the Early Vote Center opening in Minneapolis for the municipal election.

The Minnesota House of Representatives is back to an even 67-67 split after Democrat Xp Lee won a special election Tuesday to fill the seat left by slain DFL leader Melissa Hortman.

Unofficial results Tuesday night showed Lee had a decisive lead, with 61% of the vote to Republican Ruth Bittner’s 39% with all precincts reporting results.
